iSystem Asia applies Work From Home (WFH)

Coronavirus disease or COVID-19 is now a threat to the world community. Based on World O Meter (23/03/20), at least this virus has spread to 195 countries, with 381,761 patients, and 16,558 people have died because of it.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus. The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell (WHO, 2020).

From the official website of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) for COVID-19 Management in Indonesia as of March 23, 2020, there were 579 cases, 500 patients in care, 30 patients recovered, and 49 people died. Coronavirus disease spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.

With this very high level of distribution, the Government inevitably issued an appeal to the Indonesian people to start self-quarantine, physical distancing, and work and attend school from home.

iSystem Asia fully supports the Indonesian Government's decision to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. From March 17, 2020 until further notice, iSystem Asia uses the Work From Home (WFH) system as a step to anticipate and maintain the safety of iSystem Asia staff.

Coronavirus disease is indeed dangerous, especially for those who are elderly, have a history of medical complications, and children. Not only that, young people who carry this virus often do not show any real symptoms of the virus because they have higher immunity, but instead, they are at risk of transmitting it to more vulnerable citizens.

iSystem Asia calls for continued hygiene, frequent hand washing, and avoiding crowds. iSystem Asia also encourages staff who work from home to exercise diligently and consume healthy foods high in nutrition to help strengthen the body's immunity.

Together we can fight Coronavirus!
